Hero Xpulse 200

The Hero XPulse 200 4V Rally Edition is expected to feature a handlebar riser, adjustable suspension, better ground clearance, and knobby tyres.

The Hero Xpulse 200 4V is the most affordable entry-level adventure tourer in India. Despite having a very small engine displacement, it is surprisingly powerful. The business is developing a variant of the adventure bike that is more suitable for off-road use and will be available soon.

The new Xpulse 200 4V model, Rally Edition, was unveiled today. A one-of-a-kind permission form submitted by Hero MotoCorp to the Transport Department of NCT of New Delhi for registration has already leaked online. The certificate specifies both the standard model and a special rally version.

2022 Hero Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition

This indicates that Xpulse, the largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the world, is making both a new rally variant and an upgraded rally kit for consumers. For Rs 38,000, Hero already sells a rally kit for the XPulse 200 2V. The latest rally kit, however, is projected to be more sophisticated than the current one and will include elements included in a future XPulse rally version.

The report also provides measurements for the new Rally Edition of the Adventure tourer bike and the XPulse 200 4V with Rally Package. As per the certificate, the motorcycle with the rally kit will have the following dimensions: 2243 mm in length, 850 mm in width, and 1308 mm in height. However, due to its size, the rally version is more extensive.

The wheelbase of the rally kit has been increased to 1419 mm, while the wheelbase of the rally variant will be 1427 mm. The increased suspension travel at both ends can lead to larger dimensions. The standard Xpulse 200 has a total weight of 288 kg. The GVW of the Rally Kit variant is 289 kg, while the GVW of the Rally variant is 290 kg. Both versions will be built on the Xpulse 200 4V platform.

Both the rally kit and the rally version should have higher ground clearance and seat height than the standard model. For added height, the XPulse 200 4V Rally Edition will include a longer travel suspension, a higher handlebar, wire-spoked wheels fitted with knobby dual-purpose tires, and a larger side-stand.

Expected Powertrain Specs & Price

The powertrain is not set to receive any modifications. The 199.6cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that powers the contemporary Xpulse 200 4V produces 19 horsepower and 17.35 Nm of peak torque. This device is mated to a 5-speed transmission. Additionally, a new LED headlamp that was introduced in Turkey a few months back could be included in the future Xpulse 200 4V Rally variant.

Hero XPulse 200 4V is now available at Rs. 1.32 lakh, and we estimate the price of the new rally kit to be around Rs. 50,000 Thus, the new Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition could cost around Rs 1.80 lakh (both prices ex-showroom). Although Hero XPulse 200 is the most affordable 200cc adventure bike in India, some other top 200cc bikes in India include the TVS Apache RTR 200, Bajaj Pulsar NS200, and KTM RC 200.
