The 200cc bike segment is a popular category. It offers the perfect balance between power and practicality while being a great platform for one’s skills. The most popular motorcycles in this range are the Hero XPulse, the newly updated Honda CB 200X, and the Suzuki V-Strom.

It would be great to compare the vehicles as all three motorcycles are better in their respective categories. Some are known for power, some for body style, and some for their performance and mileage. These motorcycles sometimes have enough power for use on the highway and are good in the city, being able to explore less traveled roads. So how do they compare, and which one should you choose? Honda CB 200X vs. Hero Xpulse 200 4V vs. Suzuki V-Strom SX: Design

Starting with the Honda CB 200X, the motorcycle features a unique, angular front fairing. This bike has an adventure tourer look. It also has alloy wheels and a distinctive LED headlight. It also has an upright seating position and a side-slung exhaust. The design includes a semi-fairing, windscreen, and dual-purpose tires

The design of the Suzuki V-Strom is inspired by its larger V-Strom siblings. The bike has a narrow front fairing, a long beak, and an angular design. The V-Strom also rides on alloy wheels and offers an upright seating posture.

The Hero XPulse 200 4V takes a different design approach. Unlike the CB 200X and V-Strom, the XPulse is a dirt bike with a tall suspension setup, no fairing, a high front fender, spoke wheels, and high-end rear suspension. The XPulse 200 4V has a round headlight, wind-deflector, sleek taillight, and raised front fender.

The Honda CB 200X gets USD forks, a monoshock at the rear, single-channel ABS, 17-inch alloy wheels, and disc brakes at both ends. The CB 200X also gets full LED lighting and an LCD instrument cluster. Additionally, the CB200X also gets a comfortable split seat setup with a raised handlebar, engine sump guard, and upswept exhaust to complement its touring character.

The Suzuki V-Strom SX gets a conventional telescopic front fork, a monoshock at the rear, and disc brakes at both ends. The tire covers 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels and an LCD instrument cluster with phone connectivity. The console also shows alerts on incoming messages, call turn-by-turn navigation, and call and SMS notifications.

Hero XPulse, the motorcycle gets telescopic front suspension, monoshock at the rear, 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels, and disc brakes at both ends. Hero XPulse and Suzuki V-Strom are well-equipped in terms of features. But with different features like single-channel ABS with LED lighting, and three ABS modes LED taillights. Additional features include a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster and an LCD instrument cluster.

All three motorcycles feature single-cylinder air-cooled engines and manual transmissions as standard with varying power outputs. All three motorcycles have enough power to handle weekend road trips and city commuting.

One advantage of choosing the Suzuki V-Strom is that it has the highest displacement engine that produces the most power and torque even when paired with a 6-speed gearbox instead of a 5-speed unit like the XPulse and CB 200X. The Honda is the least powerful of the three.

If you are looking for city commuting and a reliable motorcycle, the Honda CB 200X is a great option. However, there are connectivity features available if you want to travel in the city or take long highway trips. The Suzuki V-Strom is one you should check out.

However, if city commuting and off-roading is your thing. Then Hero XPulse 200 4V is the right motorcycle offered by Hero. Several accessories, including a taller suspension and seat, make the XPulse a dirt bike.
