BMW Launches R 1250 RT and K 1600 Touring Bikes

On Wednesday, BMW Motorrad announced its new touring lineup in India, including the new BMW R 1250 RT, K 1600 GTL, K 1600 Bagger, and new BMW K 1600 Grand America. For clients who have already reserved the newly released bikes, deliveries will start in August.

The cost of the recently introduced BMW touring series in India, ex-showroom:

  • BMW R 1250 RT: Rs. 23,95,000
  • BMW K 1600 Bagger: Rs. 29,90,000
  • BMW K 1600 GTL: Rs. 32,000
  • BMW K 1600 Grand America: Rs. 33,000

The brand-new BMW R 1250 RT, new BMW K 1600 GTL, new BMW K 1600 Bagger, and new BMW K 1600 Grand America will redefine luxury and exclusivity in the touring market in India as an ultimate luxury touring motorcycle line. According to Vikram Pawah, President, of BMW Group India, “the iconic 2-cylinder boxer and the unmatched 6-cylinder engine performance, superb ride comfort, and distinctive features ensure pleasant driving on lengthy highways that stretch out to the horizon and deliver extreme riding pleasure.”

BMW R 1250 RT

A 1254 cc 2-cylinder boxer engine with a tremendous 136 horsepower (100 kW) power output at 7,750 rpm and a peak torque of 143 Nm at 6,250 rpm powers the all-new R 1250 RT. The engine is paired with a 6-speed transmission. The bike claims to reach a top speed of 200 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3.7 seconds.

The engine also features BMW ShiftCam technology, a company patent. The bike boasts updated colors and aerodynamic design improvements thanks to a newly designed fairing as part of the yearly upgrade. In addition, full LED headlamps are also available.

BMW K 1600 GTL, K 1600 B, AND K 1600 GRAND AMERICA VEHICLES

New models from BMW Motorrad are intended to raise the bar for the pleasure and style of highway cruising. The same 6-cylinder in-line engine, capable of producing 180 Nm of peak torque at 5250 rpm and an earth-shattering output of 160 horsepower (118 kW) at 6750 rpm, is at the heart of the BMW K 1600 series.

These bikes include standard equipment, Dynamic ESA for improved stability, and Engine Drag Torque Control (dynamic engine brake control). Additionally, the new 10.25-inch TFT color display with built-in connection and map navigation promises to provide information and enjoyment on the go. It also receives the Audio system 2.0.
