The deliveries of the electric bike Tork Kratos and Kratos R have finally begun in India almost seven months after their debuts. Initially, Tork Motors said it would start shipping its e-motorcycles in April. However, e-bikes delayed the delivery schedule due to supply problems, which plagued the automotive sector.

Since the bike is currently being offered in the first phase only in places like Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chennai, Torque Motors has started delivering the Kratos in phases. In the second phase, the business wants to reach 100 cities. Six locations will host Tork’s shops, and the company is looking to switch to a franchise-based business model eventually.

Tork Kratos R: Engine and Specification

A 4kWh battery pack that powers the two bikes are said to have a real-world range of 120km in ECO mode, 100km in City mode, and 70km in Sports mode. The Tork Kratos has a maximum power output of 7.5kW, while the Kratos R generates 9kW. Torque ranges from 28 Nm for the Kratos to 38 Nm for the Kratos R in electric bikes.

As far as the features are concerned, the motorcycles feature a fully computerized dashboard and LED lighting. Additionally, this is achieved by regenerative braking. Reverse mode, Bluetooth connectivity, GPS, a USB charging port, an anti-theft system, accident alarm, ride analytics, guide-me-home lighting, and OTA updates are all included.

Price and Rivals

Tork offers Kratos standard and Kratos-R in four colors: Blue, Red, Black, and White, with ex-showroom prices in Pune, which include FAME II and state subsidy of Rs. 1,22,499 and Rs. 1,37,499, respectively. Apart from this, Tork is offering 3 years battery guarantee and 3 years/40,000 km warranty on the bike. You can reserve motorcycles on the Tork website for Rs.999.

While Revolt RV400 and Oben Roar are their main competitors, you can also consider Ather 450X, Ola S1, Bajaj Chetak, and TVS iQube Electric as other electric bikes. If performance is your thing, you can look forward to the UltraViolet F77.
