Suzuki Access 125, Avenis, and Burgman Street get OBD2, E20 Compatible

After Yamaha, Suzuki is the second Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer to release scooters that comply with the new emission standards. Depending on the variant, Suzuki has increased the prices of the scooter by Rs 2,000-3,000.

Suzuki Access 125, Avenis and Burgman Street

According to Suzuki, Access, Avensis, and Burgman Street have all been updated to meet OBD-II and E20 standards. The 125cc scooter range is Suzuki’s first set of two-wheelers to meet the new norms starting April 2023. Motorcycles should soon follow suit. They can run on gasoline blended with up to 20 percent ethanol for E20 compliance. Suzuki Motorcycle is the second Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer to release scooters that comply with the new standards.

The company has also introduced new colors in Avenis, namely Metallic Sonic Silver and Metallic Triton Blue. A new Pearl Matte Shadow Green shade is also available for Suzuki Burgman Street.

Suzuki Access 125, Avenis and Burgman Street: Prices

The Suzuki Access 125 prices start at Rs 79,400 and go up to Rs 89,500 for the top-spec Ride Interface variant. The Race Edition of Suzuki Avenis 125 costs Rs 300, and the base model costs Rs 92,000. Last but not least, the Burgman Street and Burgman Street Ride Connect editions are priced at Rs 93,000 and Rs 97,000, respectively. Depending on the model, the prices of the scooters have increased in the range of Rs 2,000 to Rs 3,000.

Mr. Devashish Handa, Executive Vice President, Sales, Marketing said after sales, Suzuki Motorcycles India said, “Suzuki’s powerful 125cc engine offers high performance is now E20 (Petrol with 20% Ethanol) and OBD2-A compliant. Our strategy is to adapt all of our products to E20 fuel gradually. This is one way to reduce our carbon footprint so that tomorrow is cleaner and greener.
