Kawasaki Versys X-300

The first sighting of the Kawasaki Versys X300 adventure bike in Pune, India, suggests it will be released soon. Its design and features can also be seen in the test mule spotted during testing. Although the Kawasaki Versys X300 is already available in other regions, this test model provides information about the India-spec version of the future adventure bike.

Kawasaki Versys X-300 – Design

The test model of the Kawasaki Versys features a single pod headlight with a clear visor on top. Long tank extensions covering the radiator guard were added to improve its rugged appearance.

Kawasaki Versys X-300 – Engine and Specs

Regarding engine specifications, the 296cc parallel-twin cylinder engine that powers the Ninja 300 will likely be used in the Versys X300. With its powerful output, this engine can generate 39 horsepower and 26.1 Nm of torque. It shares transmission duties with a six-speed gearbox. So, the Versys X 300 is anticipated to have comparable performance numbers.

Kawasaki Versys X-300 – Hardware and Features

Regarding the features of the Versys X300, it is expected to have a side-stand cut-off sensor, dual-channel ABS for better safety, and full bulb illumination.

Kawasaki bikes also add telescopic front forks and a mono-shock as standard equipment. The bike has front and rear disc brakes on spoke wheels with tube tyres for reliable braking.

Kawasaki Versys X-300 – Price and Rivals

The US price of Kawasaki Versys X300 is $6,199, i.e., approximately Rs. 5.14 lakh (excluding taxes). However, its price should be slightly more reasonable in the Indian market. After its launch, it will compete with other models in the same market segment, including the Triumph Scrambler 400X, BMW G 310 GS, Royal Enfield Himalayan, and the KTM 390 Adventure.
