Hero Mavrick 440 – Variants Explained

Here’s an in-depth look at the three Hero Mavrick variations available: base, mid, and top.

Hero Mavrick, a new cruiser bike manufactured by Hero MotoCorp and the American auto manufacturer, is the latest model available in the sub-500cc segment in India. The Mavrick, priced at Rs 1.99 lakh ex-showroom, was first showcased earlier this year and was formally introduced a few days ago.

Like the Harley-Davidson X440, the Mavrick has three variants: base, mid and top. The same base has been used in both bikes. The 440cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine, round LED headlamps, and single-piece seat are shared by all three variants, though there are some minor differences in hardware, features, colors, and cost. Details of the Hero Mavrick variations are examined in depth here.

Hero Mavrick 440 offers only an Arctic White color option for the base variant. Its rear panel and fuel tank are painted white; the tank cover is matte silver and other blackened areas. Spoke wheels have replaced the tubeless rubber alloy wheels seen on other variants with tube tyres on the base model.

Hero has also compromised on engine fins and smartphone connectivity to save even more money. Hero Mavrick base model is available at Rs 1,99,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
