Ather 450 Apex

Ather Energy is now accepting bookings for its 450 Apex electric scooters at just Rs 2,500, with sales scheduled to begin in March 2024.

A new electric scooter, “450 Apex”, which will top Ather Energy’s portfolio, is ready to launch on January 6, 2024. New teasers of electric scooters have already started emerging from an electric two-wheeler company. Ather is now accepting bookings for the 450 Apex.

Consumers who want to purchase the scooter can visit the official Ather website and pay Rs 2,500. Reports also say that deliveries of the 450 Apex will begin in March 2024.

Ather 450 Apex Electric Scooter

When the new Ather 450 Apex is released in India, it will be the most powerful and positioned above the existing 450X in the lineup. Since the 450 Apex is the “pinnacle” of the 450 platform, Ather claims it will include “best-in-class” features.

The most important feature of the teaser is the announcement of the new riding mode introduced with the 450 Apex. This will be on top of the existing Warp mode and named Warp+. The Warp mode of the 450 Apex is expected to be replaced with Warp+ riding mode.

Ather 450 Apex Electric Scooter: Specs and Features

Per the teaser, the existing Ather 450X Gen 3 has been defeated in a drag race by the pseudo-450 Apex. Notably, 450 is the fastest among the electric scooters available in India. There should be more acceleration with the 450 Apex. The current 450X can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in 3.3 seconds, although it can only go up to 90 km/h.

According to the teaser, the rider will not have to apply brakes repeatedly. This indicates that there may be more than one brake regeneration level. As a result, the rider only needs to turn the throttle the other way to increase the amount of brake regeneration. This should also contribute to increasing the riding range of the scooter.

What changes the Ather will make to the electric bike motor and battery pack remains unknown. Since the electric scooter was hidden in the teaser, the cosmetic modifications have yet to be made public. However, as Ather Energy CEO Tarun Mehta previously said, the transparent color option is anticipated to return. In a social media post, he also called it the “fastest” scooter from the brand.

Ather 450 Apex Electric Scooter: Price and Rivals

The new Apex scooter is expected to be more expensive than the 3.7kWh Ather 450X, already available at Rs 1.48 lakh (ex-showroom).  The rivals of scooter Ola S1 Pro, Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, Vida V1 Pro, Okinawa OKHI-90 & Ampere Primus.
