Moto Morini X-Cape 650
- Moto Morini is ready to launch X-Cape in India to join the 650cc Adv market.
- The bike features a 649cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine.
- The company is planning to introduce its entire lineup in India.
The Italian Morini X-Cape 650 will put pressure on the mid-displacement ADV segment. The mid displacement in India currently includes the popular 650cc bikes like Kawasaki Versys 650, Suzuki V-Strom 650XT, and Tiger Sport 660.
The Moto Morini bike has a 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces 59PS of power and 56Nm of torque. The bike comes with a 6-speed gearbox. This engine is similar to the 650cc mill made by Chinese company CFMoto, which has not done well in the Indian market.
Moto Morini in India
Adishwar Auto Ride India Pvt. Ltd., a well-known company that has brought Benelli and Keeway to India, is all set to introduce the complete lineup of Moto Morini in India. As per the press release, the company will introduce four new bikes in India, one of which is a 650cc ADV.
Moto Morini will introduce its entire bike segment in India. Along with Benelli and Keeway bikes, Adishwar Auto Ride will distribute Moto Morini two-wheelers in India. Currently, Four bikes will be included in the portfolio, the details of which are yet to be made public.
Moto Morini Bikes Lineup
It is interesting to note that the European lineup includes three bikes under the brand names Seiemmezzo and X-Cape. The first version comes in two versions: the STR version, which is more road-oriented, and the SCR version, which is more scrambler-inspired. The adventure bike X-Cape will rival the Versys 650 and Tiger 660 when introduced in India.
The identical 649cc, in-line 2-cylinder engine from CFMoto powers all three versions, but each variant is tuned. The Neo-Roadsters engine is modified to produce 60 Bhp of power and 54 Nm of torque compared to 61bhp and 56 Nm of torque in the ADV 650.
From 1946 to 1977, Motoini produced up to 250cc bikes for its region. Until 1999, the company functioned in the engineering division and introduced the Corsaro 1200 and 9 1/2 bikes in 2005, although they were later dropped due to financial issues. The company stopped manufacturing new bikes till the Chinese corporation Zhongneng Vehicle Group took control of the business in 2018.
Like most Italian products, Moto Morini Motorcycles will undoubtedly be top-notch and of quality. The beefier body styling of the Seiemmezzo 650 gives it a more impressive look, while the ADV X-cape 650 is quite distinctive and appears to be both functional and stylish. The ADV model is the largest in its market as it features a 7-inch TFT dash screen. Both bikes come with a range of accessories and upgrades.
