Upcoming bikes launching in India in October 2023

September 2023 was an incredible month as the 2024 KTM 390 Duke and TVS Apache RTR 310 were introduced. Additionally, October 2023 looks even more exciting as we expect the debut of a Scrambler, an Adventure Tourer, and an electric scooter.

The Triumph Scrambler 400X, Ather 450X, and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 452, one of the most eagerly awaited debuts of the year, all feature in the list.

Triumph Scrambler 400X

The Triumph Scrambler 400X will be the first motorcycle to launch this month. Triumph has not revealed its price yet, even though it debuted with the Speed 400. To give top priority to the manufacturer of the Triumph Speed 400, its launch was postponed to October 2023.

Most of the Scrambler 400 X’s parts and design lines are similar to Speed 400. It has the same teardrop fuel tank, circular LED headlamp, and short fenders. The motorcycle has a 19-inch front wheel and a long-travel suspension.

The Speed 400’s 399 cc, single-cylinder engine, which produces 39.5 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 37.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm, will also power the Scrambler 400X. The motor is paired with a six-speed transmission. The engine sounded extremely polished during our time with the Speed 400, with good performance in the mid-range and respectable low-end grunt. The gearbox provided clear shifts, and even the on-off throttle response was smooth. Engine performance is expected to be similar to that of the Scrambler 400X.

The Scrambler 400X is expected to be introduced in India by mid-October and be priced around Rs. 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom). For a fee of Rs. Priced at Rs 10,000, reservations for the Scrambler 400X are currently being accepted. Once available, the Scrambler 400X will compete with the Scrambler 411 and Yezdi Scrambler.

Ather 450X Long Range

The Ather 450X, which will offer more range than the existing top-spec 450X model, is the next upcoming bike in October 2023. The new 450X, which is expected to have a 3.7kWh battery pack and a real range of 110 km, could be the fourth-generation vehicle. Its range is 5 km more than the Gen 3 model.

Updated switchgear which may be based on the Ather 450S could be one of the further upgrades. Nevertheless, the electric scooter will still be available with comparable features including all-around LED lights, ride modes, a touchscreen TFT instrument dashboard, smartphone connectivity, fast charging, and more.

Considering, the Gen-3 model is priced at Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom Bengaluru), the new Ather 450X could be priced around Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The new 450X will compete with the Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube S, Ola S1 Pro, and others.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 452

The most awaited motorcycle of 2023 is probably the last on the list. Of course, it is the Royal Enfield Himalayan 452. After several spy photos and months of testing, Royal Enfield is all set to introduce the Himalayan 452 to Indian consumers this month. We assume that the motorcycle will be unveiled to the public later this month.

According to leaked documents, the new Himalayan 452 will be powered by a 451.65cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that will produce 39.50bhp at 8,000rpm. Even though the paper withholds torque values, various source claims that the engine’s peak torque will be around 40Nm. Despite this, the engine will be equipped with a six-speed transmission.

The new Himalayan 452 will have dual-channel ABS, LED lighting, a fully digital instrument cluster, and possibly triple navigation as options. Talking about the price, Royal Enfield can make it available for at least Rs. 2.70 lakh (ex-showroom). Himalayan 452 will be an excellent alternative to the KTM 390 Adventure X, Yezdi Adventure, and BMW G 310 GS.
