A new electric scooter, Dot One, has been introduced in India by Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler company Simple Energy. The Simple Energy Dot One price is Rs 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs. Rs 5,000 less than the existing Simple One. The company is now accepting bookings for its Dot One electric scooter at just Rs 1,947. Priority pre-orders for existing Simple One users wishing to upgrade to Dot One will open on January 1, 2024.
Simple Energy Dot One: 160 km range
The Dot One electric scooter’s riding range is 160 km, with its IDC battery being one of its primary selling points. If the actual range lives up to the advertised figures, then the Dot One electric scooter will beat all its competitors in the market. This high riding range is made possible by a 3.7kWh lithium-ion battery pack and a 750W charger—furthermore, an 8.5kW electric motor with a maximum torque output of 72 Nm powers the scooter.
Interestingly, Simple Energy offers a 750W charger with the Dot One, and it can accelerate from 0 to 40 Kmph in 2.77 seconds. The top speed of the scooter is rated at 105 kmph. Meanwhile, the One electric scooter’s motor produces 4.5kW (8.5kW at its peak) and 72 Nm of torque, and its 5kWh battery pack has an IDC range of 212 kilometers. Top speed is also 105 km per hour.
