Triumph Scrambler 1200X launched in India

Triumph Motorcycles India is focusing on a more affordable and accessible version of its Scrambler 1200 range. The Scrambler 1200X is the replacement for the now-discontinued Scrambler 1200 XC. For 2024, the X replaces the XC as a more entry-level model with better rider access and pricing. But this XE is the more hardcore and off-road-focused model in the Triumph Scrambler 1200 family, although it has not been announced for India yet.

Triumph Scrambler 1200X: Engine

The Scrambler 1200 range is powered by a 1,200cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine with a 270-degree crank that produces 88.7bhp and 110 Nm of peak torque. The long travel suspension and 21-17 inch spoke wheel combination makes it off-road ready. The kerb weight of the bike is 228 kg, and the fuel tank capacity is 15 liters.

The new scrambler bike, 1200X, features a tubular steel frame suspended by non-adjustable USD front forks, 170mm wheel, and preload-adjustable twin rear shocks with 170mm wheel travel with piggyback reservoirs.

The seat is a single-piece unit, which can be set at a lower height of 795mm. Meanwhile, the standard seat height on offer is 820mm – 20mm less than that of the 1200 XC, making the 1200 X more accessible.

Triumph Motorcycles has launched the Scrambler 1200X in the Indian market, priced at Rs 11.83 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Triumph Scrambler 1200 X has three color options: Carnival Red, Ash Gray, and Sapphire Black.
