Triumph has unveiled the Daytona 660 in India. It is the third 660cc model in the British bike maker’s lineup. Even though its name is Daytona, this bike differs from the previous model. The new Daytona 660 comes with the following specifications and features.

Triumph Daytona 660: Features list

The new Triumph Daytona 660 features split LED headlamps with a glass visor. Despite being more aggressive, the Daytona 660’s fascia is similar to that of the Daytona 675. But with its larger clip-on handles, it appears to have achieved a slightly more comfortable rider triangle. The Daytona 660 also gets an underbody exhaust. The side profile of the new Daytona is very similar to the Honda CBR 650R.

Triumph Daytona 660: Engine and Specs

The new Triumph Daytona 660 is powered by an inline three-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed transmission. Its redline is 12,650 rpm, producing 95 bhp and 69 Nm. Three riding modes are available: Rain, Road, and Sport. Traction control and ABS are two additional safety features. The Triumph Daytona 660 includes a TFT with smartphone connectivity and full LED lighting.

The Triumph Bikes has fitted it with preload-adjustable Showa mono-shock and Showa 41mm USD front forks. The Daytona has two 310 mm front disc brakes and a 220 mm rear disc. These are mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels, the front tyre measuring 120/70 and the rear tyre measuring 180/55.

Triumph Daytona 660: Launch date, price, rivals

Triumph has unveiled the new Daytona 660, and the official launch could happen soon. Its prices are expected to be between Rs 9.0 and 9.25 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, Daytona will compete with the Honda CBR 650R and Kawasaki Ninja 650.
