2024 Yezdi Roadking 500 – What do we know so far

Yezdi is working on reviving the iconic Yezdi Roadking name, and it looks like they are now closer to that goal, as the Yezdi Roadking 500 and Yezdi Roadking 350 were recently spotted at a dealer’s event. These Yezdi bikes are, in a way, a preview of the final production model. Here, you will learn everything about the Roadking 500, including its design features, price, and engine.

Yezdi Roadking 500 Design

The Yezdi Roadking 500’s raked-out front, round LED headlights, circular LED indicators, and twin-pod instrument cluster come together to pay homage to the original Roadking. The console is likely to be an analog unit with digital insets.

The fuel tank looks a bit boxy with sharp lines, but its profile is smooth, similar to what we saw on the original Roadking. Additionally, the crankcase design is also identical to what we saw on the original Roadking.

Yezdi Roadking 500 Engine

Classic Legends has both Yezdi and BSA Bikes. Since BSA already has the Gold Star 650, it only makes sense for Yezdi to use that platform and come up with a smaller capacity bike, as the Yezdi is considered more accessible than the premium BSA bikes. Keeping this in mind, the engine capacity of Roadking 500 can be around 450-500cc bike. It is also known that the engine will be liquid-cooled, and it also has wings, which enhance the retro appeal.

Since it will be a large-capacity single-cylinder engine, it could be torquey. We wouldn’t be surprised if it produces around 40Nm of torque like the discontinued Royal Enfield Classic 500.

Yezdi Roadking 500 Underpinnings

The 2024 Roadking 500 appears to be built on a dual-cradle frame and is hung on telescopic forks and a mono-shock. Brakes are discs at both ends, possibly with dual-channel ABS. The bike runs on Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp tires, with 110 sections at the front and 130 sections at the rear.

Expected Price, Launch, And Rivals

Yezdi Roadking 500 is expected to be launched in late 2024 and can be priced at Rs 2.5 lakh, ex-showroom. It will mainly compete with other Roadsters in the market, such as QJ Motors SRC 500 and Hero Mavrick 440.
