Honda XRE 300

Another sighting of the Honda XRE 300 adventure motorcycle being tested in India suggests it could debut sometime in 2019. The KTM 390 Adventure and the BMW G 310 GS were seen alongside the motorcycle, which provides insight into the competition that Honda is comparing it to.

Resources indicate that the XRE 300 is currently undergoing preliminary testing in a location in southern India, and there is a good probability that the bike is being tested in the Big Rock dirt park. This implies that the official debut might not happen for some time, and Honda will likely present it at the 2023 Auto Show.

We may anticipate the Honda XRE 300 to cost approximately Rs 3 lakh given that it is compared to its European rivals (ex-showroom). The XRE 300 is an actual dual-sport motorbike with wire-spoke wheels, knobby tyres, and a long-travel suspension system, which will set it apart from the competitors. The BMW G 310 GS and KTM 390 Adventure are mainly road-oriented adventure tourers with, at most, light off-roading skills.

A 291cc single-cylinder, the air-cooled motor produces 25.5bhp at 7,500 rpm and 27Nm at 6,000 rpm. The five-speed transmission is connected to the engine.

The Honda XRE 300’s bicycle components include telescopic front forks with 245mm of travel and a Pro-Link mono-shock with 225mm of travel in the back. The front and rear wheels of the motorcycle are 21/19-inch wire-spoke wheels. The Metzeler Enduro 3 Sahara tires are fitted to the Brazilian-spec variant.

Speaking of features, the XRE 300 has dual-channel ABS, a computerized instrument cluster, and full LED illumination. The tank size is 13.8 liters, and there is a standard luggage rack. The ADV tops the scale at just 148kg, which may also be advantageous.
