New Aprilia RS 457: Price and Rivals
The newest model in the 500cc supersport bike is the Aprilia RS 457. The price of Rs. 4.10 lakh (ex-showroom) was introduced during the 2023 India Bike Week. The motorcycle will go on sale from December 15, 2023, and deliveries will begin in March 2024.
The KTM RC 390, Kawasaki Ninja 400, and the recently released Yamaha YZF R3 are the main competitors of the Aprilia RS 457. Next, we will compare Aprilia’s technical parameters with its competitors.
Aprilia RS 457 vs Kawasaki Ninja 400 vs KTM RC 390: Engine & Hardware
The RS 457 has the most power and torque but weighs the most. The KTM RC 390 is the only motorcycle with a single-cylinder engine that produces more power and torque than the YZF-R3 and is on par with the Kawasaki Ninja 400, making the Ninja 400 the lightest motorcycle overall. It is a single-cylinder motorcycle, but surprisingly heavier than its Japanese parallel-twin counterparts.
Each motorcycle has a six-speed transmission. A bi-directional quick shifter is standard on the KTM, while Aprilia Bikes offers one as an add-on for the RS 457. Although none of the Japanese motorcycles have a rapid shifter, all have slipper clutches.
Aprilia RS 457 vs Kawasaki Ninja 400 vs KTM RC 390: Features
The Aprilia has a 5-inch TFT display with optional Bluetooth connectivity as standard features. KTM also includes a 5-inch TFT screen with Bluetooth. The Ninja 400 has a partly digital, partly analog display, while the R3 has a traditional LCD digital display. Standard equipment on all motorcycles is dual-channel ABS. All motorcycles except the Kawasaki Ninja 400 have LED headlights and taillights.
Aprilia RS 457 vs Kawasaki Ninja 400 vs KTM RC 390: Price
Among all the RS 457 competitors’, the KTM RC 390 is the most reasonably priced model, priced at Rs 3.18 lakh, almost a lakh rupee less than the Aprilia RS 457.
The most expensive motorcycle available here is the Kawasaki Ninja 400, priced at Rs 5.24 lakh, almost 2 lakh rupees more than the RC 390 and 1 lakh rupees more than Aprilia RS 457. The Ninja 400 is a great motorcycle, but the price is exceptionally high.
