Ola Electric to release MoveOS 4 in December

At Ola Electric’s recent EndICEage Part 2 event, the company’s Founder, Bhavish Aggarwal, and Chief Marketing and Revenue Officer, Anshul Khandelwal, made a few announcements. One of the important announcements was the public release of MoveOS 4. Their electric bike users will be able to download the updated software in December. A specific date will be revealed by the company soon.

It’s important to remember that MoveOS 4 was initially scheduled to launch in mid-September. Only beta testers have access to MoveOS 4 at this time. It is not suggested to use beta builds for a vehicle that one uses daily, as beta builds often contain some bugs.

Ola Electric’s MoveOS Feature: What to know

Ola Maps, which will enable functions like “Find my scooter” and “Share location from the app,” will be introduced with MoveOS 4. Features include a proximity unlock feature, a tamper alarm, garage mode, fast supercharging, advanced regeneration, profile control, care mood, concert mode, hill descent control, and extended range. Additionally, Ola will include a ride journal function that displays distance traveled, average speed, battery life, range, regeneration, efficiency, and money saved.

MoveOS 4 will also include personal proximity, an updated trip meter, auto turn indicator cut-off, headphone controls for calls and music, take-me-home lighting, and favorite contacts.

There will also be an upgrade to the Ola Electric smartphone application. It will have features like call setting, vacation mode, hill hold setting, regenerate setting, dark mode, and OTA update. A tamper alert, which notifies the owner and others. If the scooter is tampered with, is another essential feature that will be introduced in the scooter.

Ola Electric Scooter Price Cut by 20,000

Additionally, the brand cut Rs 20,000 from the MSRP of the Ola S1 X+ electric scooter. Thus, the price of this scooter was earlier Rs 1,09,999 ex-showroom, but now its price is Rs 89,999 ex-showroom. It is important to remember that the new prices are only valid in December.
