With a price tag of Rs 1.98 lakh ex-showroom, the mXmoto M16 electric cruiser is the latest entrant in the Indian electric motorcycle market. Many features are provided by the company, such as the entire metal body, a 3-year warranty on the motor controller, and an 8-year warranty on the battery pack. Well, let’s look at the mXmoto M16 in more detail.

mXmoto M16: Design and Equipment

Unlike most electric vehicle companies, mXmoto has chosen to build a cruiser, which is a market space with limited rivals even within the internal combustion engine (ICE) industry. According to the manufacturer, the strong metal body of the M16 makes it perfect for Indian conditions.

The mXmoto M16 features a strong tank, a round headlight with a small flyscreen, a wide handlebar, USD forks, dual rear shocks, 17-inch wheels, disc brakes at both ends and forward-set foot pegs. The seat is a single piece with a standard step-up design.

mXmoto M16: Battery Specifications and Features

The range of the mXmoto M16’s lithium-ion battery pack with a full charge is stated by the manufacturer to be 160-220 kilometers. However, the hub-mounted motor produces 140 Nm of torque, and the company claims that the battery pack can be recharged from 0 to 90% in 3 hours. The dimensions of the battery pack, as well as the M16’s maximum speed and acceleration, have yet to be made public by the manufacturer.

Like most electric vehicles, the mXMoto M16 has a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, built-in navigation, call alerts, and a music system. Additionally, the motorcycle has hill start assist, park assist, cruise control, and reverse mode.

mXmoto M16: Price and Rivals

The Indian electric motorcycle segment sees another new addition – the MXMoto M16 electric cruiser launched for Rs 1.98 lakh ex-showroom. MXMoto M16 competes with Kinetic Green e-Luna, Revolt RV 400, Tork  Kratos R, Joy e-Bike Monster, and Ather 450 Apex.
