Ather Energy officially unveiled its latest electric scooter after being tested on Indian roads several times over the past few months. On March 29, online booking for Rizta began for only Rs. 999. The Bengaluru-based company offers the Rizta at Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
However, this offer is available only to customers who have booked it in advance. The Ather Rizta is available in two variants: Rizta S and Rizta Z. The Rizta S is available at Rs 1.24 lakh, whereas the top variant, Rizta Z, is available at Rs 1.44 lakh (both ex-showroom).
Ather Rizta electric scooter: Specifications
The Rizta Z has a 2.9kWh battery and a 3.7kWh unit option, while the Rizta S only has a 2.9kWh battery. Regarding the IDC range, the 2.9 kWh battery provides an estimated range of 123 km, whereas the 3.7kWh variant offers a 160 km range.
All variants of the Rizta electric scooter have a top speed of 80 kmph, although Ather Energy has not revealed the exact specifications of the motor. There are two available ride modes: SmartEco and Zip. Additionally, the Rizta features riding assistance features like MagicTwistTM, AutoholdTM, and Reverse Mode, similar to the 450 series.
The top-spec Rizta Z features a 3.7kWh battery and a new 700W Ather Duo charger. Owners of Rizta vehicles will also get access to Ather’s extensive fast-charging network, which has over 1800 charging stations. Ather’s five-year additional warranty program, “Ather Battery Protect,” extends the battery guarantee to five years or 60,000 kilometers.

The Rizta’s main highlighting feature is its space, including storage and onboard capacity. It has 34-liter under-seat storage and a 22-liter trunk for a total combined luggage capacity of 56 liters. Additionally, you can lift all the under-seat storage as a bag for even better convenience. As Ather has previously indicated, the Rizta has the largest single seat available in India for a two-wheeler, providing much space for both the rider and the pillion.
Similar to the 450 series, the Rizta Scooter features an 18W multifunctional charger, LED headlights, LED taillights, a 7-inch fully digital TFT instrument panel, reverse mode, Bluetooth connectivity, and a backrest. Other notable features include WhatsApp on the Dash, call rejection with messages, live location sharing, Ping My Scooter, and Amazon Alexa integration with 20 voice commands.
The Pro upgrade offers ride assist functions, Ather battery protection, and smartphone integration through Ather Connect. Along with the scooter, Ather is also selling two new helmets, named Halo and Halo Bit. These are open-face and full-face helmets, with a starting price of Rs 12,999 and Rs 4,999, respectively.
Additionally, Ather offers its in-house developed traction control technology, known as SkidControl, which helps in maintaining grip while driving at high speed on low-friction surfaces such as gravel, sand, water, or oil-covered roads. Unlike the Ather’s three monotone colors for the Rizta S, the Rizta Z is available in seven colors, including three monotone and four dual-tone colors. The Ather Rizta’s color options are Alphonso Yellow, Cardomom Green, Pangong Blue, Siachen White, and Deccan Grey.
