Additional mechanical improvements include a 220 mm single disc brake at the rear and a 320 mm twin disc brake at the front. Additionally, the BMW S 1000 XR offers the Touring and Dynamics packages with some standard features. The Touring Package offers heated grips, a tire-pressure monitoring system, hand protection, a center stand, space for a navigation device, and a luggage carrier.
