The Hero Xoom Combat Edition is a new addition to Hero MotoCorp’s Hero Xoom portfolio. Priced at Rs 80,967 (ex-showroom, Delhi), it replaces the Xoom scooter as the top model in the family. This new model brings military-inspired styling to the Xoom series. Its target market is the young demographic that values sporty and sophisticated looks.
Hero Xoom Combat Edition – What’s new
The new paint job of the Hero Xoom Combat Edition makes it stand out. The Combat Edition gets a stealth makeover, ditching the regular colors and using a “matte shadow gray” base coat with bright yellow and black graphics. Hero MotoCorp claims that this color scheme is inspired by fighter jet paint jobs, particularly the low-visibility, radar-absorbing coatings on contemporary military aircraft. The color has a primer-like feel with gloss paint. The cut and crease look of the Hero Xoom looks excellent, no doubt about that.
Hero Xoom Combat Edition – Features
The Hero Xoom Combat Edition retains all the features of the ZX variant except for a new color scheme. This shows that safety and style have been considered in the feature list of the Combat Edition. Cornering lights, which are new to the scooter, are a highlight. The fully digital instrument cluster also has Bluetooth connectivity, allowing users to sync their smartphones to receive SMS and call alerts.
Hero Xoom Combat Edition – Engine and Specifications
The 110.9cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that powers the other Hero Xoom model is similar to the Hero Xoom Combat Edition. It generates 8.2 horsepower and 8.7 Nm at 7,250 rpm, a maximum power output good enough to navigate city streets and keep up with traffic. The engine has an automatic CVT transmission.
Hero Xoom Combat Edition – New Color and Price
With the new Combat Edition, the Hero Xoom now has four variants and a new color option: Matte Shadow Grey. The Hero new scooter Xoom is now available in six color options: black, Sports Red, Polestar Blue, Pearl Silver White, Matte Abrax Orange, and Matte Shadow Grey.
The Hero Xoom price in India starts at ₹ 75,512 (Ex-showroom) for its base variant, Xoom LX—Drum. The top model, Combat Edition, is available at ₹ 80,967.
