XTEC Design and Colors

In design, the new Splendor Plus XTEC is almost identical to its previous variant. However, it gets new artwork on the body panels, as well as an LED DRL above the headlight. The Splendor Plus XTEC is offered in four colors – Sparkling Beta Blue, Canvas Black, Tornado Gray, and Pearl White.

XTEC Features

The main selling point of the Splendor Plus XTEC is its massive feature set. For the first time in a Hero Motorcycle, a bike has been designed with an all-digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity that includes SMS and call notifications, dual trip meters, and a real-time mileage display among other features. The bike also gets a USB mobile charging outlet and a side-stand engine cut-off feature.

Engine and Gearbox

Hero MotoCorp has not made any mechanical changes to the 100cc Splendor Plus XTEC. The bike is powered by a single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected 97.2cc engine that churns out 7.9 bhp power and 8.05 Nm torque. The engine is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission along with Hero’s i3S idle start/stop technology.

Price and Rivals

The Splendor Plus Xtec is the top variant in the lineup, with a starting price of Rs. 72,900. Talking about its rivals, the cost of other models of this commuter bike ranges between Rs 69,380 to Rs 71,700, where it will compete with other low-maintenance bikes like Hero HF Deluxe, Bajaj Platina, and Honda CD 110 Dream.
