Yamaha has announced the new MT-25 and YZF-R25 motorcycles in Japan with new features and updates.
The 2022 Yamaha MT-25 is priced at 632,500 yen (INR 3.87 lakh), while the new YZF-R25 standard model costs 668,800 yen (INR 4.09 lakh). Only 240 units of the special 60th-anniversary edition of the YZF-R25 will be available for sale at 6,90,800 yen (INR 4.19 lakh).
The Yamaha YZF-R25 and MT-25 have received several visual and technical improvements for 2022. In addition, they are now compliant with Riva 2 (Euro 5) emission norms. These quarter-liter motorcycles are built on the same chassis and have similar mechanicals.
The YZF-R25 will be available in two new colors in 2022. Yamaha is also releasing a 60th Anniversary Edition model from 1980 with dual-tone white and red paint inspired by the YZR-500. New color schemes are also available for the Yamaha. MT-25. However, there are some other notable changes. As such, the bike will now get USD front forks and a new headlight body.
A 249cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine powers each of these quarter-liter Yamaha bikes. The maximum power output of this motor is 34.5 hp and the peak torque output is 23 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission with a slip and assist clutch. In addition, the firm offers a quick-shifter as an option.
