Ronin-Based Custom Motorcycles Unveiled

Four TVS Ronin-based custom motorcycles were unveiled. One of these motorcycles was built by the TVS Motors design team, and the others came from German and Indonesian custom builders, respectively.

In March 2023, TVS launched the 2023 edition of Motosoul in Goa, where TVS organized multiple events like stunt shows, dirt racing, obstacle race, and more. Four designs based on the TVS Ronin were made public by the firm for the first time, one of which was built in-house. Two other custom bikes with Ronin-derived designs came from outside India.

TVS Ronin SCR

The Ronin SCR is a Scrambler design based on the Ronin built in-house by the TVS design team and features semi-knobby tyres, spoke wheels, and more. Besides the unique paint job, the SCR also gets an updated high-set exhaust, updated LED headlamps, a new leather-finished single seat, and improved ergonomics for better off-road handling. The bike also gets unique fenders and an engine-protection bash plate.

TVS Ronin Agonda

Agonda is a tribute to the Agonda beach in Goa and was built by German JVB Moto. The scrambler bike like the SCR but less designed for off-road activity. The Agonda gets a custom-designed rear end, a new high-rise handlebar with bar-end indicators, a bespoke headlamp casing, and a subtler white finish with pinstripes on the fuel tank apart from a new instrument cluster. The bike also gets dual-purpose tyres.

TVS Ronin Musashi

Musashi, created by Smoked Garage in Indonesia, pays homage to the invincible samurai hero of the same name. In keeping with this idea, the Musashi also gets a brat bike design with spoke wheels, dual-purpose tires, and new bodywork. The rear end of the Musashi has been chopped to form carbon fiber bodywork. A new horizontal rear suspension and a bespoke exhaust are further improvements. In addition, the headlamp provides excellent protection.

TVS Ronin Wakizashi

The Wakizashi, which takes its name from a Japanese short sword, has raised handlebars, a seat, and a rear cowl, giving it a more cafe-racer-inspired look. The Wakizashi is a naked motorcycle made by Rajputana Customs in India. It features a brushed metal body, a swing arm, a subframe specially built for it, and a committed riding position. While the footpegs have been shifted further back, the handlebars are positioned below the upper limit of the fuel tank. The bike had spoke wheels, but its tires were designed for the road.
