The Harley-Davidson Street Bob, which competes against the Triumph Bonneville Bobber, has just been released by Harley-Davidson. Here is how they compare.
Bobbers are among the most sought-after motorcycles in the cruiser category due to their basic design approach. Triumph introduced the Bonneville Bobber in March. With the introduction of its revised 2018 Softail line, Harley followed suit. The most affordable bike in the lineup is the Street Bob. For improved handling, the Harley-Davidson Street Bob uses a revised frame, engine, and bike parts. It produces 38 Nm greater torque than the Bonneville Bobber at 1,000 fewer revolutions per minute from its 1,745cc V-twin engine. The engine has 545 more cubic centimeters than Triumph’s. As is customary for Harley, the company has kept the engine’s power output a secret. Even if the Street Bob has updated appearances, the Bobber is more distinctive because of its astounding attention to detail. The Street Bob’s fuel tank is 5.2 liters larger than the Bonneville Bobber’s, increasing its cruising range. Additionally, the Harley-Davidson Street Bob is more useful than the Bobber because it has room for a passenger.
Apart from ABS, the Street Bob has no fancy rider aids, whereas the Bobber has traction control and riding modes built in. In addition, it weighs 58 kg less. Although they are an option, ape-hanger handlebars are not standard equipment for the Bobber. Both motorcycles have a variety of accessories to make them more personalized for the rider. The Bobber is 2.97 lakhs INR cheaper and has more functionality than the Street Bob. Even though the seat and instrument cluster are customizable, it still lacks practicality. The Street Bob is the most ideal option if you like raw, electrical torque without nannies and American roots.
