Suzuki V-Strom 800 new

Suzuki Motor Corporation has unveiled the all-new V-STROM 800 sport adventure tourer. Global sales will begin in October 2023, primarily in Europe and North America.

The V-Strom 800 DI made its world debut in December last year after being showcased at the 2022 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan.

However, while the bike was in our country, speculations started about Suzuki introducing a middleweight adventure motorcycle in India. This development was quite exciting for bike lovers across India.

Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE: Design 

Talking about styling, the vertical LED headlight at the front gives a unique look to the soon-to-be-launched motorcycle. For a dual-tone aesthetic, the visor is transparent and black. The V-Strom 800 DI has pannier mounts and a top box. Its adventure appeal is being further enhanced. There is a secondary fender, a wide handlebar with knuckle guards, and a single-piece seat.

Additionally, the engine has four valves per cylinder and a 270-degree crankshaft. The bike maker claims that this will help in providing traction along with bottom-end torque for off-road activities.

The V-Strom 800DE has wire-spoked 21-inch front wheels and 17-inch rear wheels fitted with Dunlop Trailmax Mixtour tyres. However, the tyres are not tubeless as opposed to the V-Strom 650 XT, currently on sale in our domestic market.  

Additionally, the V-Strom 800 DI features a fully adjustable Showa suspension system with 220 mm of ground clearance and 220 mm of travel at both ends. The bike has a steel frame chassis with a compact profile and an aluminum swingarm for better control.

Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE: Electronic 

The new Suzuki Motorcycle bike has an extensive list of features, including low RPM assist, LED lighting, and a customized 5-inch color TFT LCD multifunction instrument panel. It also gets a bi-directional quick shifter, Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS), ride-by-wire electronic throttle system, and rear ABS cancel mode option. Suzuki Traction Control System with G (Gravel) Mode and Rear ABS Cancel Mode options.

The throttle grip action, especially when opening the throttle for the first time. Suzuki’s ride-by-wire electronic throttle system optimizes engine output characteristics using the onboard ECM. According to the manufacturer, this increases responsiveness and controllability, especially on gravel roads.

Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE: India Launch And Rivals

The V-Strom 800 DE is expected to be released in India by the end of this year. When launched, it will rival other popular models like the BMW F850GS and the Triumph Tiger 900. Its ex-showroom starting price can be Rs 12 lakh.
