The new Yamaha X-Force scooter gets some special features from the Aerox 155 such as the Yamaha R15 engine, which is now going to be available in India soon.
Although India is one of the major two-wheeler markets in the world, Japanese automakers rarely offer their entire model lineup in the country. Yamaha company is also like this. A new entry has been added to the company’s repertoire of products for JDM in the form of the X-Force scooter.
2022 Yamaha X Force 155cc Scooter
Yamaha is putting its 155cc engine to good use in scooters. As seen on the NMax 155, the Aerox 155, and now Yamaha has introduced a new maxi-scooter with the powerful R15 engine. Yamaha’s X-Force maxi-style scooter is the newest scooter on the block.
The 2022 Yamaha X Force up to 150cc scooter is designed to target Millennials and Generation Z, as can be seen from its youthful and athletic looks. The X-Force is built on Yamaha’s popular Aerox 155 platform, just like the NMax maxi-scooter. Currently, this scooter from Japan only lacks a feature that makes it more practical than the Aerox 155 and NMax 155. That is the core axis of the spine.
Yamaha X Force Specifications
The lack of a central spine created a lot of foot room, as well as lots of luggage space thanks to the flat floorboards. It is powered by the same liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) that makes 14.7bhp power and 14Nm of torque as the Aerox 155. The fuel economy is also expected to be 45 KM/L similar to the Aerox 155.
Features & Launch Date
The X-Force 155 scooter gets LED lights and a USB charging connection for charging electrical equipment on the road. The scooter is also equipped with a fully digital instrument cluster which is Bluetooth enabled. Users can connect their cell phones to the LCD cluster to receive call and SMS notifications as well as other connected functions.
The headlights are divided into two chambers, one for the low beam and the other for the high beam. The front indicators of the scooter are well incorporated into the body. The Yamaha logo above the headlights and a smoked visor deflect the gusts of wind away from the rider. It gets a 267mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS.
2022 Yamaha X Force 155cc Scooter
The suspension consists of a telescopic unit at the front and twin shockers at the rear. Unlike the 14″ wheels of the Aerox 155, this scooter has 13″ wheels. The front is shod with 120/70 rubber, while the back is shod with 130/70 rubber.
Yamaha has priced this scooter at 3,96,000 JPY (Rs 2.3 lakh). However, Yamaha is unlikely to introduce this scooter in India considering that its similar model scooter, the Aerox 155 is priced under 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom). It would be difficult for Yamaha to justify a platform that costs almost double the price. In Japan, it mostly competes against Honda’s Vario 160.
