After several rumors and leaks, the new entry-level Harley Davidson bike, the X 350, has finally been unveiled in China. All the details, including collaboration with QJ Motors, have been revealed on the Chinese website of Harley-Davidson. Let’s know about the Harley-Davidson X 350 motorcycle.
Harley-Davidson X 350: Design and Features
The Sportster XR1200X, which has since been withdrawn in India, appears to be a major design influence on the X 350. Despite the circular LED headlight and offset, there are similarities between the XR1200 and the TVS Ronin from the fuel tank to the tail. The single-pod console is the specialty of the TVS Ronin. The long and stubby tail section fits in well with the sharp corners of the teardrop-shaped tank. Overall, the bike looks attractive in the pictures.
Although the complete feature list of the motorcycle has not been made public yet, it is clear that it will get LED lighting, and the instrument cluster should also be completely digital.
Harley-Davidson X 350: Engine and Hardware
A 353cc, liquid-cooled, inline twin-cylinder engine powers the Harley Davidson X 350. Since it has a bore and stroke of 70.5mm and 45.2mm, respectively, this motor will be sporty and high-revving. In terms of performance, it produces 36.2bhp at 7,000rpm and 31Nm of peak torque. Meanwhile, a six-speed gearbox handles the transmission jobs. Note QJ Motors already employs this engine in the SRK 350 naked bike as per the displacement, power, and torque output ratings.
The X 350 gets premium components, especially on the suspension front. It is supported by a mono-shock and USD forks while rolling on 17-inch alloy wheels. The bike can adjust the rear spring for preload and rebound, while the front forks can be adjusted. The braking system is equally high-end, with discs with four-piston calipers at the front and a single-piston rotor at the rear. The 180 kg X 350 has a fuel tank capacity of 13.5 liters.
Harley-Davidson X 350: India Launch
Although the official website of Harley-Davidson does not list the China price of the X350, one of the internet portals claims that it costs 33,388 yuan (Rs 3.93 lakh). While its India launch hasn’t been formally confirmed, we expect it to arrive here this year at a starting price of under Rs 3.50 lakh.
