At IBW 2023, the Kawasaki Eliminator made its India debut and started its second innings.
It was speculated that Kawasaki Motorcycles will introduce the new Eliminator 450 cruiser at the recently completed India Bike Week in Goa. Instead, the business originated on W175 Street. When we inquired about its arrival, we learned that the Eliminator 450 will be introduced in India in February or March of 2024.
Kawasaki Eliminator 450: What to know
It is interesting to note that Indian riders have been approaching Kawasaki with a lot of questions about the Eliminator 450. With the 650cc bike Vulcan S, the Japanese bike maker has been serving cruiser buyers for quite some time now. But many riders find it out of reach, especially given the 235 kg weight limit. That being said, the Eliminator – which weighs a mere 176 kg – will arrive on our shores as a more manageable replacement for the Vulcan S.
Kawasaki Eliminator 450: Engine and Specs
The 451cc parallel-twin engine powering the new Kawasaki Eliminator 450 is essentially a long-stroke version of the 399cc mill found in the Ninja 400. The cruiser has a six-speed gearbox and produces approximately 49 horsepower. Compared to the Ninja 400, the Eliminator has a larger 5.8-litre airbox and a 32 mm larger throttle body. It is supported by a steel trellis frame, with an 18-16-inch wheel combination, telescopic forks, dual spring suspension, and a single disc brake at both ends.
Kawasaki Eliminator 450: Price, Rivals, and Launch Date
The Kawasaki Eliminator 450 is expected to go on sale in India in February or March 2024, priced between Rs 5.0 to Rs 5.10 lakh. When it is launched, the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, Triumph Scrambler 400 X, and Keeway K-Light 250V will be the primary rivals of the Eliminator 450. Now, the primary element that will affect the price of the Eliminator 450 will be whether Kawasaki ships the motorcycle to India in completely built units (CBU) or completely knocked down (CKD) form.
