At the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024, Yamaha India showcased the Nmax 155 in an attempt to see how consumers will receive the product. The Yamaha Aerox 155 serves as the base for a new maxi-scooter, the Nmax 155. It is a more practical and family-friendly alternative to the sporty and focused Aerox.
Considering people’s interest in scooters, Yamaha plans to introduce the Nmax 155 in India, which may come in late 2024 or early 2025. This can be estimated when the company launches Nmax 155 in India.
New Stylish Design
The Yamaha Nmax 155 is a true maxi-scooter that travels the roads of Thailand and Europe. The enormous front apron, which features twin LED headlights, attracts attention to the size of the scooter.
The scooter’s tall stance is further enhanced by a tall, blacked-out windscreen located above the headlights. The central spine and well-proportioned side and tail sections attract attention when viewed from the side.
Overall, the Nmax 155 has a good presence and will stand out from many of the conventionally sized scooters seen on our roads.
Ergonomics and Features
Due to the large size of the scooter, there is plenty of space for the rider and the pillion. When we sat on the scooter at the Expo, we found a spacious rider seat, easy access to the handlebar, and ample space for the footboard.
All LED lights, remote boot release, and a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity are among the respectable features of the Nmax 155. The scooter likely launched in India will also include dual-channel ABS.
Engine and Hardware
Yamaha Nmax 155 has a single-cylinder, 155cc, liquid-cooled engine. It has a CVT transmission and produces 13.5 Nm and 14.9 horsepower. This engine power can also be seen in the Yamaha R15 and Aerox 155.
The underbone chassis of the Nmax 155 is supported by two shock absorbers and a telescopic fork. Expect a suspension setup that offers more comfort than the stiffer suspension of the Yamaha Aerox 155. The scooter includes disc brakes at both ends for stopping power and rides on 13-inch wheels at both ends.
Price and rivals
It is estimated that the Yamaha Nmax 155 will be available for sale by the end of this year or early 2025. Its price can be between Rs 1.6 lakh and Rs 1.7 lakh. Once it launches, it will compete with the Yamaha Aerox 155 and the upcoming Hero Zoom 160.
