Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 Breaks Cover Key Facts

After months of speculation, Royal Enfield has finally unveiled its much-awaited purpose-built adventure motorcycle, the Himalayan 452. It is a step up from the Himalayan 411, which was first introduced in 2016. The domestic motorcycle giant is expected to launch the new adventure bike in November this year.

Royal Enfield has released the teaser of the upcoming Himalayan 452. It is in all its glory ahead of its imminent launch in India in the coming weeks. In the latest teaser image, the motorcycle is posed against the backdrop of the majestic Himalayas, highlighting its adventurous spirit.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 Has Returned To The Past

The teaser image reveals the white color scheme of the Himalayan 452. It is reminiscent of its predecessor, the Himalayan 411, which made waves in 2016. Notably, ‘Himalayan’ branding adorns the front mudguard, while Himalaya-themed graphics grace the fuel tank. Side panels and rear fenders.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 452: Design

Key design elements of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 include:

  • A distinctive beak fender.
  • A high-set LED headlamp for better visibility.
  • A spacious fuel tank.
  • A compact tail section with split seats.

The motorcycle is expected to run on a 21-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel, both equipped with wire spoke wheels.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 452: Engine

The documents of Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 have already been confirmed. It will be provided with a 451.65cc liquid-cooled engine.  This mill will generate 39.57bhp at 8,000rpm and peak torque of around 40-45Nm. This engine will be paired with a six-speed gearbox, promising strong performance on-road and off-road.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 452: Price and Launch Date

Price details of Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 are expected to be around Rs. 2.70 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle will enter the competitive adventure-touring segment, challenging rivals like the KTM 390 Adventure, BMW G 310 GS, and the Yezdi Adventure. As far as its imminent launch in India is concerned, the Himalayan 452 will probably arrive in late October or November 2023.
