The 689cc, parallel twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled CP2 engine that powers the global model will be part of the mechanical specs. This engine produces 67 Nm at 6,500 rpm and 72.4 horsepower at 8,750 rpm when mated to a six-speed gearbox. It is now assumed that the Bajaj Pulsar 400 will use the same engine as the Dominar 400. This 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine produces 35Nm and 39.4bhp on the Dominar, but its performance may differ slightly on the Pulsar 400.
