Ather Community Day 2024 has marked the recent launch of the Rizta family electric scooter in India by Ather Energy. The scooter has two variants and seven different color variations. There are three Ather Rizta models, with prices ranging from Rs. 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs. 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Rizta Z comes in seven paint schemes, comprising three monotone and four dual-tone tones, contrasting to the Ather Rizta S’s three monotone color options. Deccan Grey, Siachen White, and Pangong Blue are the monotone paint palettes. The dual-tone color possibilities, each with white, are Pangong Blue, Cardamom Green, Alphonso Yellow, and Deccan Grey.
The Ather electric scooter is powered by a PMSM electric motor with a peak torque of 22 Nm and a maximum output of 5.76 horsepower. All versions can accelerate from 0 to 40 mph in 4.7 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 80 mph. However, the battery life varies depending on the version. The IDC range of the Rizta Z with a 3.7kWh battery pack is 160km, while the Rizta S and Z with a 2.9kWh battery pack is 123 km.
The charging time varies depending on the model. With a 350W charger, the 2.9kWh models can charge the battery pack from 0 to 80% in six hours and forty minutes and from 0 to 100% in eight and thirty minutes. A 700W Ather Duo charger is provided for the 3.7kWh model, which takes four hours and thirty minutes to charge from zero to eighty percent and six hours and ten minutes to charge fully.
The Rizta’s hardware consists of an underbone chassis with a longer subframe that provides more room for the rider and pillion. The front telescopic forks and the rear mono-shock support the chassis. The scooter’s 12-inch wheels are shod with MRF tires. Ather Rizta rivals the TVS iQube and the Ola S1 scooter.
