The new TVS Apache RTR 160 differs from the previous model. TVS Bikes recently launched the Apache RTR 160 in India. It looks very similar to the previous model, but some changes have been made to the overall package.
TVS offers the Apache RTR 160 with many more features than before. TVS’s premium sport bike is in a new avatar with a longer name. This bike has targeted the younger audience and will be sold alongside the existing RTR 160. The old and the latest versions of Apache RTR 160 look identical but differ in paint schemes and graphics.
Engine and Hardware
TVS Apache RTR 160 has a muscular design that powers the 200cc model. A 159.7cc single-cylinder powers it, and its power is 15.31 bhp and torque is 13.9 NM, whereas the new updated bike version is 15.82 bhp and the torque is 13.85NM. It’s mated to the same five-speed gearbox. The new model is 2kg heavier than the previous model. The mileage of the new bike is 49.80 kmpl.
Features
Its new version comprises an LED taillight, a Bluetooth-enabled fully digital instrument cluster, a slipper clutch, dual-channel ABS, and three ride modes – Rain, Urban, and Sport. This 160cc bike weighs 138 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 12 liters.
The updated version RTR 160 pushes the boundaries of performance. It is equipped with ride modes, and the performance is even cutting-edge. The features include aggressive styling, LED headlamps, TVS SmartXonnect with Bluetooth voice assists, SMS alerts, and tail lamps.
Colors
TVS Apache RTR 160 is a street bike that has three variants: Drum, Disc, and Disc. The bikes come in five colors: Gloss Black, Pearl White, Racing Red, Matte Blue, and T-Grey.
Price
The older TVS Apache RTR 160 was priced at Rs 1.13 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), whereas the 2024 updated version’s starting price is Rs 1.19 Lakh.

The top competitors of TVS Apache RTR 160 are the NS160, Pulsar N160, and Hero Xtreme 160R. While the new version competitors are the Honda Hornet 2.0, Yamaha FZ-FI V3, Hero Xtreme 160R, Pulsar N160, and MT 15 V2.
