KTM 200 Duke vs Competitors

The KTM 200 Duke has been popular among young bike lovers since its launch in 2012. The new edition of the KTM Bikes has updated the company’s portfolio in style in line with the demands of the users. The KTM Duke 200 is a dynamic and thrilling motorcycle designed to offer an exciting riding experience and allow the rider to enjoy the ride.

The KTM Duke 200 is a street bike with modern aesthetics and advanced technology. Thus, the 2022 model features a halogen headlight, an LED taillight, LED turn indicators, an orange backlit LCD screen, and a switchable ABS. The changes are limited to styling updates in the new Paint theme. The 200 Duke is now available in Electronic Orange and Dark Silver Metallic color options.

As far as racing motorcycles are concerned, two names are KTM 200 Duke and Yamaha R15. Both bikes have been designed according to speed and performance. The KTM 200 Duke is designed for racing and features a full fairing that reduces air drag and improves aerodynamics. The bike has a sporty look, a sharp front end, and a high rear section. On the other hand, the Yamaha R15 V4 has a sporty design but is less aerodynamic than the KTM 200 Duke. The design of the KTM 200 Duke is more focused on performance and racing.

The KTM 200 Duke is powered by a 199.5cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that generates 24.67 bhp and 19.3 Nm. The bike has a 6-speed gearbox and slipper clutch, which allows the rider to downshift. On the other hand, the Yamaha R15 has a 155cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that generates 18.6 bhp and 14.1 Nm. The bike also has a 6-speed gearbox but no slipper clutch. The KTM 200 Duke has a clear advantage in terms of power and performance, making it a better choice for racing.

2. Yamaha MT 15 V2

Yamaha MT15 V2 and KTM Duke 200 are packed with premium features. With features like a multi-functional LCD instrument console, smartphone connectivity, and LED lighting, the Duke 200 has a clear edge over the MT15 V2. The Yamaha MT15 V2 and Duke 200 bikes have a sporty and aggressive look, differing in headlamp design, seat layout, and exhaust system.

This feature includes a slipper clutch, ride-by-wire throttle system, and a quick shifter. It also has a 5-inch LCD that is Bluetooth-enabled and offers turn-by-turn navigation. The KTM 250 Duke will be available in two colors: Electronic Orange and Ceramic White.

5. KTM RC 200

KTM RC 200 has a 199.5cc BS6 engine, and its mileage is 43.5kmpl. The KTM RC 200 comes with an anti-locking braking system, with both front and rear disc brakes. The weight of the RC 200 bike is 160 kg, and the fuel tank capacity is 13.7 liters. It develops a power output of 24.6bhp and 19.2Nm of torque.

The RC 200 is based on a split-type trellis frame with a bolt-on subframe from the existing bike. Additionally, the brakes and wheels are lightweight to save weight. Other hardware includes a new WP Apex monoshock and fully adjustable handlebar risers to improve its ergonomics.
