Although the Ninja 300 has the lowest ground clearance in this comparison, it has the most accessible seat height in proportions. The TVS has the best ground clearance, and the KTM has the most prominent seat height. Even with its larger 13.7-liter tank compared to the previous model, the RC still can’t match Kawasaki’s 17-liter tank. The new RC 390 is also the lightest motorbike in this class, though not by much. The old RC 390 was the class leader in weight.

While Kawasaki bike gets by with a diamond frame, KTM and TVS utilize trellis frames. All bikes have disc brakes at the front and rear ends, with the most prominent front disc and the most giant rear disc fitted to the KTM.

The same 373.23cc, single-cylinder engine that powered the previous model still powers the new RC 390. But now that it has a 40% bigger airbox and new mapping, the torque has increased somewhat to 37 Nm (up 1 Nm). It still has a 43.5 horsepower power output, making it the most potent and aggressive motorcycle in this comparison. To top it off, it also provides peak values in an earlier rev range.

Although all three bikes have 6-speed gears, the 2022 RC 390 has an advantage because it is the only bike having a bi-directional quick-shifter. The KTM and TVS Apache RR 310 share a single-cylinder engine, albeit the TVS engine is smaller at 312cc. The RR 310 has the lowest power output (34 horsepower). Still, it produces more torque than the Kawasaki, and its single-cylinder motor provides more accessible access to the drive than the peaky twin of the Kawi.

The only other motorbike in this lineup with a parallel twin engine is the Kawasaki Ninja 300. Furthermore, even if the Ninja 300 isn’t as powerful or torque-rich as the KTM or TVS, it still sounds better and is more sophisticated overall.

The KTM RC 390 is now priced at Rs 3.63 lakh, a significant increase from its previous price. Nonetheless, it manages to undercut the Ninja 300 despite receiving a completely revamped design, additional features, and mechanical upgrades.

Even though it’s the oldest contender here, Kawasaki is still the most expensive. The Ninja 300 has a twin-cylinder engine, which the other models do not. However, its equipment and performance still need to be improved. It can’t compete with the other two regarding features and is growing reasonably long in the tooth.

Here, the TVS Apache RR 310 offers the most value for money. The RR 310 is still less expensive than the KTM bike, even with the BTO Dynamic (Rs 12,000) and Race (Rs 5,000) kits, which add adjustable suspension, lowered clip-ons, and elevated foot pegs. Thus, based on their specifications, the new KTM RC 390, TVS Apache RR 310, and Kawasaki Ninja 300 are compared.
