Planning To Buy TVS Raider 125

With the Raider, TVS Bikes returned to the 125cc displacement market. It is believed that the motorcycle provides both sporty riding and practicality. But before you spend your cash on the TVS Raider 125, let’s go over a few advantages and disadvantages of the bike.

With the Raider, TVS Motor Company returned to the 125cc bike market. The program does see a lot of volumes even though it isn’t particularly fascinating, and TVS hopes to increase those volumes with the Raider. Based on an entirely new platform, the all-new TVS Raider will be sold both domestically and as a key export for TVS Motor Company, especially in the South East Asian and Latin American markets.

It is a feature-rich, aesthetically pleasing device with respectable performance. If you’re considering buying a motorbike, we go over the advantages and disadvantages of the Raider. The TVS Raider 125 is priced between Rs. 95,219 to Rs. 1,19,691 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

TVS Raider 125 – PROS

Modern Design

The TVS Raider 125 is an attractive motorbike. It’s also one of the class’s more fashionable, expensive, and sporty-looking items, given the market niche it occupies. The entire shape, which includes a sculpted fuel tank with strong creases, gives the bike more power and makes it seem more like a 150cc bike than a 125. Four color options are available for the Raider: Fiery Yellow, Striking Red, Blazing Blue, and Wicked Black.

High-Performance Engine

An all-new 124.8 cc, air and oil-cooled, three-valve engine with a 5-speed gearbox develops 11.2 horsepower and 11.2 Nm at 7,500 and 6,000 rpm, respectively, powering the Raider 125. It claims to accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in 5.9 seconds.

Two riding modes: Power and Eco

Additionally, the bike has two riding modes: Power and Eco. Power mode is claimed to provide 10% greater top-end power. With a broad list of readouts, such as three trip meters, a distance to empty indicator, an integrated starter generator indicator, and an average speed recorder, the instrument console consists of a negative LCD panel. As an added safety precaution, the bike also has a side-stand cut-off switch. The top-spec model, which comes with a TFT screen, offers Bluetooth connectivity with the TVS SmartConnect system.

Advanced Features

The footpegs on the TVS Raider 125 are slightly rear-set, which provides a sporty yet comfortable riding position, but it still allows for a very upright riding stance. The split seat design offers a large surface area, is aesthetically pleasing, and is comfortable for the rider and the pillion. In addition to providing comfort, the wide handlebar provides outstanding handling leverage.

TVS Raider 125 – CONS

1. The TVS Raider’s plastics are not as high-quality as they may be. They could have been even better, even though they are mediocre.

2. The Raider’s braking lacks the necessary bite and is a little too soft. The combined braking system, or CBS, is available, but the motorcycle is also devoid of ABS. If you accelerate quickly enough into a corner, the rear suspension feels a little bouncy, but that is just nitpicking.

3. Although the TVS Raider 125 has a great design, some traditional 125cc customers might find it too occupied or extravagant. Naturally, design is dependent on personal viewpoints.

4. If we talk about budget or price, there are some more popular bikes under 1 lakh in the 125cc category that are cheaper than Raider 125 (₹ 97,054) and also compete with it like Honda Shine (₹ 80,409), Bajaj Pulsar 125 (₹ 82,712), Hero Super Splendor Xtec (₹ 85,161), Honda SP 125 (₹ 86,747), Hero Glamor Xtec (₹ 88,048), and Hero Xtreme 125R (₹ 96,792). All prices are of ex-showroom, Delhi.
