Ather Rizta and 450X: What's the similarity

Ather Energy finally made a foray into the loud family scooter market with the debut of the Rizta, which followed nearly ten years in the performance e-scooter market. With this new electric scooter, the business expects to compete with well-known petrol scooter brands like Suzuki Access, TVS Jupiter, and Honda Activa.

Even though Rizta costs more than its ICE competitors, it still has an aggressive price tag for an electric vehicle. Ather was able to lower total development costs by building the Rizta on its well-proven 450X platform.

In this article, we list the top five similarities between the Ather 450X and the Rizta.

Drivetrain

To keep costs under control, Ather Energy built the Rizta using the 450X’s primary platform. Although the Rizta’s overall wheelbase and other measurements, such as its length and height, differ, it is primarily 450X beneath.

Cycle Components

Ather Rizta Review

Since Rizta’s platform is derived from the 450X, this family e-scooter shares many cycle parts with it. The switchgear’s design and physical components are also derived from the 450X. The plastics are the same quality as those of their athletic siblings. Additionally, the brakes and wheels are comparable.

Instrument Cluster

Because the Ather Rizta is available in several configurations, this EV receives both of the instrument clusters found on the 450X: the upscale full-color TFT panel and the far more affordable deepview. The TFT is available in the top two Ritza models, while the deepview is the most economical.

Battery

Additionally, the Rizta’s batteries are taken from the 450X. The 2.9 kWh and 2.7 kWh battery options are the same as those of the 450X. Nevertheless, because both scooters serve two distinct customer bases, their riding ranges are varied.

Features

Ather rizta and 450x specifications

The Ather Rizta and 450 share the same electronics, which include phone connectivity, navigation, hill hold, fall safety, magic twist, and many other features. Anti-skid technology, which functions similarly to traction control and may also be available for the 450, is included on the Rizta. But for now, it’s exclusive to Rizta. In terms of pricing, the Ather 450X price is ₹ 30,000 more than the Rizta.
